“Let us go forth, the tellers of tales, and seize whatever prey the heart long for, and have no fear."
~W.B. Yeats
Getting lost in the present moment of my surroundings leads to colors, lines, and words illuminating pages of sketchbooks. I am compelled to capture it all - not only for myself, but to convey to others. My sketchbooks and works of art are observations of those fragments in time, often with written words accompanying the images. Sometimes, these become larger pieces. This has been a lifelong practice and after many years of occasional shows, exhibits, galleries, and commissions, I'm now concentrated on conveying the beauty of your stories, as well.
"I'm going to make everything around me beautiful - that will be my life."
~Elsie de Wolfe
The mythical snow lion represents joy and fearlessness. Its movement is graceful and unafraid as it traverses uncharted territories with vibrant enthusiasm; it inspires us to take action. An untamed spirit, the snow lion possesses unwavering determination evidenced in its steadfast gaze. It is artful in all its endeavors.
During a time of transition from a 25-year career in nonprofit management, funding, and sponsorships, including the last years in executive roles, serendiptious happenings unfolded and connected back to my lifelong creative nature. Deep-rooted interest and time spent in majestic ranges like the Himalaya, and in Buddhist concepts, guided this new direction into the lair of the Snow Lion who roams the high peaks.
